Kennesaw State: We hear John Patrick has been hired as director of strength & conditioning at Kennesaw State. Patrick, who most recently was on staff at Central Connecitcut State, is the former head strength coach at Youngstown State and Jacksonville University. 

Prairie View A&M (FCS): Prairie View A&M University is accepting applications for Strength and Conditioning Interns for the 2012-2013 school year. Responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of PVAMU’s 18 Division I intercollegiate athletic programs; assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties; completion of various educational assignments during the internship are required. Qualifications include: Ability to follow directions; strong work ethic; punctuality; enthusiasm; strong desire to further one’s career in the field of Strength & Conditioning. Preferred qualifications include: college playing experience, pursuing Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science or related field, CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certifications; CPR and First Aid certification and/or coaching experience. Individuals chosen for the position are subject to college/university background checks. This is a 10 Month internship for the school year (2012-2013). UC Davis: UC Davis has an opening for two (2) Assistant Strength and Conditioning coaches. Appointment: Full-time, 12 month contract in Intercollegiate Athletics with the possibility of extension. Fresno State: Fresno State Strength and Conditioning is currently accepting applications for VOLUNTEER INTERN for the Summer of 2012. Daily responsibilities include: assisting with the set up and break down of weight room and football field for conditioning workouts; daily clean up and maintenance of the weight room and all of its equipment; assist with supervision and demonstration during the training sessions. Preferred Qualifications: pursuing a Bachelors or Masters Degree in exercise science; athletic training or a related field; working towards a certification with the NSCA, USAW, or CSCCa; collegiate coaching and playing experience. Interns MUST be CPR / AED certified.
